Leeds have gone ahead of West Brom at the top of the Championship with a win over Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield at Elland Road.
Goals from Luke Ayling and Patrick Bamford sealed a 2-0 win for Marcelo Bielsa’s men.
This was Bamford’s first goal in eight matches
Albion’s 0-0 draw at Swansea ensured the leadership changed hands this weekend.
There were big scores to settle at the bottom of the table on Saturday though, with six of the seven lowest sides facing each other.
Stoke’s survival bid was given a huge boost as they blew away relegation rivals Hull, winning 5-1 at the bet365 Stadium.
West Brom are winless in their last three matches
It wasn’t a good day for Charlton as they lost at home to Middlesbrough, Paddy McNair getting the only goal of the game. Meanwhile, Wigan and Luton played out a goalless draw.
Elsewhere, Brentford hit five against Sheffield Wednesday while Preston suffered a huge second-half collapse as they were beaten by QPR at Deepdale.
