It’s hard enough for us humans to keep ourselves entertained right now – but spare a thought for Gunnersaurus.
The poor dinosaur has had his whole purpose in life snatched away from him by the coronavirus crisis.
Arsenal’s iconic mascot won’t be able to cheer on the Gunners until May at the earliest with English football suspended.
But he’s putting on a brave face and, much like the rest of us, discovering new hobbies to keep the boredom at bay.
In an update shared with his Twitter followers, Gunnersaurus revealed he has been ironing, gardening, and watching Bargain Hunt during self-isolation. Relatable.
He wrote: “Hope everyone is well. I’ve been keeping busy. Just enjoyed a spot of gardening this morning.
And then added: “I’ll get a few shirts done before Bargain Hunt later.”
The mascot was forced into self-isolation along with the rest of Arsenal’s staff when manager Mikel Arteta tested positive for COVID-19.
Thankfully, Arteta only suffered mild symptoms and has since made a complete recovery.
And with strict social distancing measures now in place for everyone, we can all take a leaf out of Gunnersaurus’ book by finding productive things to do without leaving the house.
Stay safe, stay inside!
