NORFOLK, Va. Joe Biden pushed to leverage his massive victory in this weekends South Carolina primary ahead of a wave of coming coast-to-coast primaries, as one of his biggest competitors for moderate Democratic voters exited the race.
The former vice president sought to become the main alternative to front-runner Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders as former South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg, a 38-year-old gay military veteran, said he was dropping out of the campaign after a poor showing in South Carolina.
