Christian Eriksen is ready to whittle down the details of personal terms with Inter this week, claim Sky Sport Italia, leaving Tottenham for €16m plus bonuses.
Spurs manager Jose Mourinho effectively confirmed today in a press conference that the Dane was distracted by the fact his contract will expire in June and the interest from Serie A giants Inter.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Eriksen’s entourage are prepared to accept the personal terms offered by Inter and his agent should return to Milan for more face-to-face negotiations over the next few days.
Tottenham are still demanding €20m, but the two clubs ought to work out a deal for €16m plus performance-related bonuses, claims transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio.
There is also progress for Olivier Giroud, whose move from Chelsea is basically agreed, but is waiting for Matteo Politano to leave the Inter squad first.
Sky Sport Italia also suggest Politano is heading to Roma in a straight swap with Leonardo Spinazzola.
Bringing in the Roma left-back would therefore mean Ashley Young was no longer required from Manchester United.
