Diogo Jota scored a hat-trick as Wolverhampton Wanderers took a huge step towards reaching the last 16 of the Europa League with a 4-0 first-leg win against Espanyol.
Jota opened the scoring in the first half when he poked in from close range.
Ruben Neves made it 2-0 in the second half with a stunning long-range volley.
Jota drove in a third after running onto Matt Doherty’s pass before completing his hat-trick with a strike from the edge of the box.
It is now back-to-back hat-tricks in the Europa League for Jota, who was given a standing ovation by the Molineux crowd when he went off shortly after scoring his third.
Wolves will look to complete the job when they travel to Barcelona for the return leg next Thursday.
