Presumably there are only so many snowmobiles or offroad vehicles one person can buy. But that hasn’t stopped powersports vehicle maker BRP Inc. from growing aggressively over the past few years. The Ski-Doo and Sea-Doo maker based in Valcourt, Que. vaulted to a market value of $5.65 billion in January, nearly twice as much as its former parent Bombardier’s $2.99-billion valuation.
On this week’s Down to Business, BRP chief executive José Boisjoli joins host Emily Jackson to discuss BRP’s expectation-beating results in 2019, how it plans to grow revenue to $9.5 billion by 2025, what happens if a recession hits and why the company is developing electric vehicles.
