Fiorentina have asked Genoa for Domenico Criscito on loan, claim Sky Sport Italia, with SPAL defender Igor as an alternative.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Viola have requested former Zenit St Petersburg centre-back Criscito for the final hours of the January transfer window.
The 33-year-old is in his second stint at Genoa, considering this his second home, but the Grifone are bringing in several new defenders this week, including Andrea Masiello from Everton and Lille’s Adama Soumaoro.
The Viola are extremely busy on the transfer market too, today striking deals for Sassuolo midfielder Alfred Duncan, Genoa striker Christian Kouame and battling Napoli for Verona midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.
If Criscito does not want to leave Genoa, then Fiorentina will turn to SPAL defender Igor instead.
