Sporting director Michael Zorc has revealed that Borussia Dortmund are trying to sign Emre Can from Juventus but has admitted “there’s not much time left”.
The German midfielder has been linked with a move to BVB, but the two parties are reportedly struggling to agree on a fee for the former Liverpool player.
Calciomercato.com writes that there’s still some distance between the Schwarzgelben’s offer and the €30m asking price of the Old Lady.
“There’s not much time left,” Zorc said in a press conference. “It’s not a secret that we are thinking about Emre Can, even if we still haven’t agreed on anything yet.”
A sale of Paco Alcacer, who is allegedly close to joining Villareal, might open up the the required funds to match the value set by the Bianconeri and Zorc admitted: “Paco Alcacer isn’t training with his teammates today.
“We have let him travel to Spain to conclude a deal with another club.”
