The Child, known to the internet as The Child, is coming to Build-A-Bear, according to Build-A-Bear CEO Sharon Price John.

There is little The Mandalorian fans want other than a Baby Yoda plush figure. (Maybe the second season to come sooner?) Show creators held back on the merchandise deliberately, as a way to prevent the character from leaking early, but thats meant the plush figures have been delayed. But when they do come, itll be worth the wait: Baby Yoda, officially known as The Child, is coming to Build-A-Bear in the next few months.
Baby Yoda merch has been trickling out since the shows debut there are official printed goods, like T-shirts and coffee cups, but Baby Yoda plushies wont be available until spring. So far, weve seen a couple options, like the plastic-y looking Baby Yoda doll that showed up on Walmarts website late last year. (You can also buy a Baby Yoda statue in The Sims 4.) Build-A-Bears option looks a lot squishier and a lot cuter.

Im excited to share we will be one of the first companies to provide the digital and internet phenomenon who is trending higher than all the presidential candidates combined, John said during the event, Business Insider reported. We now will have The Child, also known as Baby Yoda.
Theres no real surprise here like John said, Baby Yoda is an internet phenom. Plenty of Star Wars characters have had their tiny bodies stuffed by children and adults alike. With Star Wars: The Last Jedis release, Build-A-Bear added the bug-eyed Porgs. Honestly, any relatively cute Star Wars character has been created: There are bears of Kylo Ren, Darth Maul, Rey, Chewie, Ewoks, Sith Troopers, BB-8, and even D-O.
Theres no exact timeline for Baby Yodas addition to the Star Wars Build-A-Bear lineup just that its a few months out. Ill be waiting.
